The fake positivity angers me. How many depressed people lost whether in sin or their hopelessness end it all because they feel they dont measure up to this false positive perception of life. If he ever put on a frown and a sincere tone and simply said life sucks dont give up. The only positive would be a relationship with Christ.
Make no mistake Norman Vincent Peale was a true believer in Christ and the true Gospel. Read his book the pisitive power of Jesus christ. Even Tony Robbins at least gives more practical advice than Joel Osteen. Who is a false prophet because he just doesnt go deep enough into the gospel especially about the negative parts. And how therefore when need Jesus to save us. And he is a crappy motivational speaker because he gives no valuable practical tips or techniques one could use for success.

Joel Osteen will help you with neither. Hes like that feeling you get when you peruse facebook to see how all your high school classmates are doing. And you see only their positives and feel your life isnt as happy or successful. It doesnt measure up.
But just talking to one of your old classmates they would be real and acknowledge the shittiness of life. And not to give up.
